A really simple 12 x12 page you can do with a group in a hour...!

This is a really simple 12 x 12 page i did with a WI group last week!

12 x 12 black cardstock. A strip of patterned so saffron patterned papaer placed on the left hand side and stamped at the bottom, i used a stamp from the pocket silhouetts pack 6 stamps for £15.95. A strip of so saffron card stock corner rounded and placed at the top. letters cut out with die cutter in black cardstock. photo's matt and layered with so saffron cardstock. small flower shapes cut out of off cuts with die cutter, brads placed in middle and secured to page.... letters at bottom cut out of off cuts in so saffron cardstock!

Old Olive 12 x 12 cardstock with so saffron ribbon and bright blue cardstock below, scalloped using the scallop edge punch £10.95p
The flowers are stamped using the Petal Pizzazz stamp set in the NEW mini catalogue £28.95p for 7 stamps...... they have been stamped using Pumkin pie, bright blue, so saffron and Rose red ink pads.....

The stamp set seeing spots has been used for the white circles printed on the Old Olive cardstock.

The back ground card is Real Red, with a slightly trimed down 12 x 12 white cardstock.The photo's have been matt and layered onto a trimmed down 12 x12 black cardstock.

The patterned paper with snow flakes on is from the Simply scrappin kit .... i wish !

The snowflake is a die cut with a felt fusion flower from stampin up in the center.

This was Januarys layout .........paper strips were used as the background then Real Red cardstock was used with the die cutter for the letters. The picture was matt and layered using Real Red cardstock. Chipboard was used for the photo corner and Letter J. This is made of chipboard that has been painted and covered with heat and stick powder from SU melted and then covered in glitter, heat sealed and gluded on the page!

You can purchase all these products from me, as well as the heat and stick we used to attach the glitter to the chipboard!

As we welcome in 2009.....................................................................................It's time to start thinking of all those Scrapbooking pages we need to do and start planning!!!

This 12 x 12 layout was made of totally Stamping Up products, like all the layouts on my blog!
The background is Real red with a sheet of Whisper whitte cut using the scallop punch. The colour words were cut from Pixie Pink, Certanly celery, Tempting turquiose and Pumkin pie using my quickutz. The brads are the same colour as the card stock as is the matting and layering.

French Flair

This card has been made using the french Flair stamp and Bashful Blue ink. The right hand side has been punched using a scallop punch. Bashful Blue cardstock has been placed on the inside of the card on the right hand side,. on the top left there is on of the Carte Postal stamps which has been done in Bashful blue ink. The Bashful Blue ribbon is held in place with a brad in the same colour.

This 12 x 12 layout is done by placing a strip of Le Jardin paper down the right hand sideof the paper, then using a sheet of A4 Bashful Blue cardstock, this is then placed over the 12 x 12, on the right hand side. I have then stamped using French flair stamp on the right hand side of the card. I then added 2 photo's which i rounded the corners on.At the bottom of the page i addded matching ribbion and stamped 2 images from the Carte Postale set of stamps in the same blue ink and added a matching button and a couple off brads.

Old Fashioned Christmas

It's time to start thinking about making your Christmas cards!!!!!!
This card has been made using Real Red card stock, Tempting Turquoise for matting and layering. The stamp used comes from the Old Fashioned Christmas set on page 28, you get 6 stamps for £28.95p.... It has been coloured in using water colour wonder crayons and a blender pen.

Making Big Cards !!!

For this card i have just used a 12 x12 cardstock and folded it in half. I have then used the Flitting by wheel( which you can purchase from me for £7.50 instead of £7.95 in the catalogue.) to do the butterflys at the bottom of the card. Next i stamped 4 butterflys using the Bold Butterfly stamp set (which is on page 43 and you can purchase from me for £26.95 instead of £28.95 for 6 stamps) and stuck them on the card. I placed a picture on the card and cut the letters out using quickutz.......................................A very quick and easy way to make a Special Big Card!

how to use huge stamps

The card below is made using a stamp that measures 11.4 x 14.6 cm's it is, bigger than my hand !!and is called Paisley and cost £16.95. It can be found on page 58 of the Idea book and catalogue.

You just ink it all over, like you would any other stamp. When you stamp it on your cardstock i would sujest you stand at the table and ensure you have pushed down all over the stamp not missing any area's.....

You will find lots of hints and tips on the left hand side of my blog showing examples of how to stamp!!
The card has been stamped using Rose red ink on whisper white cardstock and place on Basic Black cardstock with a small offcut of black card stock across the middle and Best wishes stamped using a stamp from the Sincere Salutations set of 8 stamps on page 61 in the Idea book.

Some times i think we can be to quick to get our die cutters out when making a title for our scrapbook pages........... i know i can !!!!

I challenged myself on this layout to stamp all the words!

The words are done by stamping Rose Red ink and using Headline Alphabet on page 66 of the Stampin Up idea book and catalogue. The set of stamps is £41.95 which is alot cheaper than buying a die cutter and die's. The papers used are all in Rose red from the designer series that is still on buy 3 packets and get 1 FREE...... you can place an order with me if you want to make a purchase but this offers end at the end of the month .....so hurry!

The card on the right can be found on page 35 of the idea book and catalogue.It has been made using the cheers to you set of stamps , you get 6 stamps for £14.95, this set are just great for colouring in using the watercolour wonder crayons on page 82 of the catalogue.(a tip.... use these crayons with the blender pens, they are just soooooooooooooooo good)This card is another great way to use up some of your card scraps the colours used on this are Old Olive, Rose Red, Taken with Teal and Pumpkin Pie also a small square of rose red designer paper has been added.

The card on the right was made by my friend Gemma she has used Cutie Pie designer paper and used a stamp from the same set, ' cheers to you'.

You can see on this lovely bright card that was made by my friend Gemma, Petals and Paisleys, designer paper was used.This is a great way of using up any left over bits of paper you have from your Scrapbooking!
The saying 'loads of love' comes from the stamp set 'Loads of Love', 7 stamps for £20.95 it is on page 37 of the idea book and catalogue.
The lovely butterfly comes from the stamp set 'Shapes and Shadows' on page 54 it is 12 stamps for £29.95.The butterflies are made by doing the 'two step stamping technique, this can be found on the left hand side of this blog, if you click on the word 'two step stamping' it will bring up a page showing you how to do this technique.

The little flower is in pixie pink with red rose on the outside.The rock and roll technique to achieve this flower is shown on the left hand side of my blog if you click on it it will show you in easy steps how to do this or you can follow the instructions on page 9 of your techniques book.

A quick and simple layout that should not take more than about 30 mins to do.......

12 x 12 Very Vanilla cardstock
I stamped the small circles to the left of the photo using little pieces stamp set (page 53 £17.95 for 12 stamps) with versa mark ink (page 82)then heat embossed it with black embossing powder (page 82) and heat gun (page 82).If you look on the left side of my blog you will see heat embossing if you click on that link, it will explain and show you pictures how to heat emboss. You can also find instructions in your little purple booklet.
I cut and mounted the small circles and stuck them on the cardstock
I used Old Olive prints designer paper, black ribbon and brad.
I also used a stamp from the 'seeing spots' stamp set (page 52 a set of 6 stamps for £15.95) and the scallop circle hand punch (on page 80 £13.95.....you must try it!!! its is great!)
Photo was matt and layered using Old Olive cardstock
Letters were cut out of left over bits of cardstock using my quickutz

A lot of people say they do not know what to do with their chalks, on this page they have been used two different ways.If you want to look in more detail click on the picture and it will ENLARGE.
This is a quick and simple page to make and will take about 30 mins

Take a 12 x12 sheet of Whisper white cardstock, use a cotton wool ball and rub it into your chalk colour(here i have used Rose red) then swirl it over your card until you get the desired colouring.
I matt and layered the photo again using Rose red cardstock and put it in tne center of the paper.
I then stamped images using the 'Cheers to you' stamp set on page 35 with staz on.This is a great set of 6 stamps for £14.95. There is also a lovely card in the idea's book and catalogue using this set to!
I then coloured the stamped images in using a blender pen(these are on page 81 you get 3 pens, which are double ended, so great value for £7.95) and chalks(americans call them stampin pastels, they are £22.95 for the whole su colour pallet and you get an eraser and 6 applicators)
If you have never coloured your stamped images in using chalks and blender pen .....you must try it ...........it is so good!
If you look at the left hand side of my bog you will find a link to stampin pastels which will show you how this is done. If you have the little purple techniques book you will find chalking in there with instructions on 'how to'

On this page i have tried to tell a 'story' using a set of nine photo's. This can be an ideal way to tell an overview of a story instead of using a whole album or mini book.

I used 12 x 12 cardstock in Close to Cocoa
The Prints designer series paper down the left hand side is in Pumpkin Pie as is the cardstock used.
The stamped image in the box in the corner is a SU stamp (a wedding gift from a friend in the USA , so not as yet, available here) This was done using stamping pastels. The technique is shown on page 10 in the Stampin' techniques small purple book. If you look on the left hand side of my blog you will see a link which will show you about using stampin pastels.

I just love the fact that Stampin Up make the paper, ink, designer papers, chalks and everything to match.................................don't you!

This is a slightly different variation on the Stampin Up Studio page, seen below..........here i have used two step stamping as shown in the little purple stampin up book 'stampin techniques'. Two step stampin is on page 5. You can also click on the left hand side of my blog on the heading two step stampin and see the page in the techniques book if you do not have a copy,This will explain how to do 'two step' stamping (something, Stampin Up is famous for!)
The background is 12 x 12 Basic Black
A4 sheet of Old Olive
Stampin around wheel 'petals' with Old Olive ink , stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock.
Letters have been cut out using quickutz
matt and layering with Very vanilla and Old Olive cardstock.
Stamp set used for the flower is Mixed Boquet (page 42 in the idea's catalogue)The ink used for the solid flower is Old Olive and the over stamp is basic black......it has been stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock.

This is a layout using all stampin up products, this layout uses the jumbo wheel, and is a really simple layout you can do in about 20 mins..
How to use the wheel can be found in the little purple Stampin Up techniques booklet.If you don't have this booklet, i will send you one if you e mail me or place an order.

The 12 x 12 background is Basic Black.
The Old Olive is a sheet of A4
The band across the bottom is Very Vanilla which i have used the Old Olive ink cartridge on the Petals jumbo wheel.
The phot's have been matt and layered using Very Vanilla and Old Olive
The Letters have been done using quickutz ( a great way of using up your left over bits of card)

WOW what a busy time we had at Stevenage.....Thank you to all the people who stoped by to say hello and find out more about Stampin Up.
